The poker youth cleaned up at the Venice leg of the WPT. The event was held in Casino de Venezia. Italy has never held a leg of the WPT before and 400 players came and entered the poker tournament for 4000 euros. WPT Venice was a huge success and attracted some of the best players from around Europe. With European Poker at its peek Titan ECOOP IV (European Championship of Online Poker) is sure to bring more players through the ranks and they will in turn start to seed the WPT in years to come.
The event was won by Sven Ragnar Astrom. He beat his fellow countryman Martin Jacobson and walked away with a cool 397,960 euros and a ticket to the WPT World Championship. The next leg of the WPT tour is in Barcelona on 24th June. The event is not on TV so check back for all results.
