William Hill are going to be announcing that they are moving their online gambling operation to Gibraltar.  This is because in Gibraltar they only pay 1.5% tax as opposed to the 15% they have to pay in the UK.  William Hill have explained that there position has been made uncompetitive due to the UK governments taxation system.  The worry for the treasury is that if the likes of William Hill, Ladbrokes and Coral move their online sectors abroad they could be losing up to £50 million per year.  These operations do not have huge staff teams to manage them so the loss of jobs to the UK would be minimal.

William Hill are currently performing well given the current economic climate and will be delivering their interim results on Tuesday.  Their main offline rivals Ladbrokes are expecting to have flat results for their shareholders so they may well look into moving their internet business abroad in the mean time a cut in the dividend is expected.

Most of the major online casino's and gambling operators have their businesses running out of tax havens.  The Isle of Man, Caymen Islands, Bamuda are the names of just a few locations that big corporate giants are running to avoiding massive taxation in their own countries.

William Hill are currently offering new poker players 400% on a new deposit and new casino players are getting a No Deposit Bonus of £/$/Euro 30.00 so just sign up and play.
