Vladimir Geshkenbein has just won the APPT Macau High Rollers Event.  Day two was always going to be a tough day for the 'Russian Bomber.'  It was clear that Geshkenbein was going to burn out rather than fade away.  He held a chip lead for a large portion of the day, this was due to his aggressive play that left many opponents stunned.  At one point today his chip levels did drop to 300000 but he soon sorted this minor detail out and hammered home his lead.

Regardless of how well things have been going for you at the table you are always going to be concerned when you are in a Heads up situation with twice world champion Jonny Chan.  Vladimir Geshkenbein really showed his metal by calling all in to raise made by Chan.  Geshkenbein picked up the King on the river to see off Chan.  Poker Stars live tournaments are always something special and APPT Macau is a real focal point for Poker in the East.  Poker Stars are the sponsors of this event and are loving their pro team is really enjoying the atmosphere at the APPT Macau.
