Believe it or not we take culture very seriously at Poker Shark.  It's not just Poker, Football and Casino.  When we here about a musical that has absolutely gorgeous women in it we feel it's our duty to inform you, the good citizens of the world!  Edinburgh Fringe Festival is famous for showcasing new talent and we have our finger on the pulse with this one.  It's a musical called 'The Swan' that features Double-D list celebrity model, Eddie Bel who’ll do anything for fame, yet still the adoration is never enough.  The Swan musical is set to take flight at Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2010.

Told in flashback from the point of view of a once-naive journalist, Anthony Howell, we learn of Eddie's neglect by resentful mother, Jackie; mother's predatory boyfriend Terry; and Eddie's Mr Fix-it agent, Johnny Drago, who will stop at nothing to get media attention for his "little powderpuff''.

Anthony's editor Karen Harper and her office employees Bob, Pete, and Eric, are hungry for the latest gutter press news on Eddie Bel and other models such as Honey Baps. Meanwhile a whole host of seedy underworld characters dance on the edge of Eddie Bels life.

As the disappointments and realities for Eddie pile up she conceives a new plan... a guaranteed way to gain big-time fame... FOREVER!

The Swan’ was originally showcased at Greenwich Theatre’s New Musical Futures, a musical festival which showcases the best of up-and-coming new work.

The music and lyrics were written by Daniel Loveday and the book by Sandra Toogood, who has since become Mrs. Loveday.

Director, Ian Trafford has directed many shows at Edinburgh Festival and received good reviews:

hugely impressive’ (BBC World Service)

a skilled and disciplined company, with an excellent grasp of ensemble acting’ (Royal National Theatre)

The dancing was a joy to watch and the singing will surely propel these performers well beyond the fickle successes of ‘Pop Idol’ (The Scotsman)

So come along to this fast paced, dramatic and dark show which is full of celebrity models and underworld characters, and which features music that stays in your brain, and disturbing lyrics: Pose for the watchers with erections, watching internet connections.

The venue is: Venue 70, The Stage by Stage Edinburgh Academy, 32 Henderson Row, The Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2010 and the show runs from the 10th of August to the 21st. If you want to know a little more about it and hear some of the music go to: www.theswan.biz
