Today the two biggest poker rooms on the planet try to take the Guiness World Record for the most competitors in a poker tournament.  The current holders are Poker Stars who set the record with 35000 players in December 2008.  Full Tilt Poker, who are the second biggest poker room in the world planned to break this record today by holding their own tournament with a $5.00 buyin.  Once Poker Stars got wind of this challenge they decided to counter to beat their own record or whatever Full Tilt can throw at them.  We are still waiting on the results of this Poker frenzy but I do know that over 70000 people from around the world started today thinking they might have been part of something that no one else had achieved and one lucky person will have to be the winner.

Full Tilt are offering a staggering $500,000 prize pool. Whilst PokerStars are offering a measily $100,000 guaranteed prize pool but the buyin is only $1.00 so take your pick at what room you want to support.
