888.com are holding the Poker Ashes.  This is a great chance for us Brits to stick to the Aussies off the field this summer as well as on the wicket.  To Poker-Shark the Poker Ashes are as important to us as the Ashes.  Why?  Because Shane Warne is Captaining the the Aussies giving it the big one that his team will stuff us.  We're not having that.  Your country needs you!  Each Poker Ashes side is filled with English and Aussie Pro's but there is one seat spare on each team.  That is where you come in.  We are looking for a British poker player to fill that seat and win it for England!  Our Australian counter parts are also searching for a player from the public to sit with their pro's and stick it to the poms.

Darren Gough is leading the team for England so you can be sure there will be a lot of passion at the table from the Yorkshireman and his cricketing team mates.

The Poker Ashes will be televised so you will need to be cool under pressure.  This is where we will see if the Poker Celebrity theory works or not.  The cricketers playing may not be as good as the two players that worked their way to the final televised table but you can be sure that these sportsmen are good under pressure.

888.com Poker Ashes tournament is easy to enter.  Qualifyers to get into the Poker Ashes are running over the next 10 days followed by freerolls to get you a place in the audience of the Televised 888.com Poker Ashes main event. 

We want the English team spot to come from a Poker-Shark player.  We want players who want to make their country proud and can handle the Warne sledging and give it back.  You can be sure that the Aussies are not going to roll over and make this easy for us at the Poker Ashes so if you've got a sledge for Warne email us nigel@poker-shark.co.uk We will post the best ones on the site.
