Olivier Busquet made one of the most dramatic turn arounds in poker history to win the Borgarta Poker Open.  The online poker genius managed to carry his game plan across to a live game situation and win the main event.  Busquet won $925,514 in the most exciting way, at one point in the game he was short stacked to 1.5 million chips compared to Jeremy Browns 29 million.  Brown is probably still sat at the table in shell shock.

Busquet had a couple of lucky hands that bolstered his dwindling chip stack but ultimately its about going to the felt with a dogged determination and fixing his mind set in the winning groove.

The WPT made an allowance with this main event as the buyin was 75% less than the usual $10,000 buyin.  Due to the new $3500 buyin the WPT saw its biggest field of competitors in a main event.

The final table results and payout are as follows

1. Olivier Busquet - $925,514

2. Jeremy Brown - $453,519

3. Ivan Mamuzic - $251,955

4. Yanick Brodeur - $216,681

5. Keith Crowder - $188,126

6. Kenny Nguyen - $156,212

The WPT are now heading to Marrakech for the second week in October and then onto the USA.
