The 2009 Irish Winter Festival is already being spoken about by hardened poker players.  This is because they know its good to book your seat early for the October bank holiday event which Paddy Power is hosting.  The Irish Winter Festival or IWF takes place in the Citywest Hotel in Dublin.  This hotel has been the venue for the Irish Open and the 2008 Irish Winter Festival.  This is whats on offer to the winners - over the October bank holiday there is an estimated 1 Million Euros up for grabs.  You can see at the bottom of the page where you can go to gain entry to this poker fest.  But first we want to tell you a bit about what the main Irish Poker Room Paddy Power are offering their poker players some incredible packages.

The package includes:

• €1,500 + €150 buy-in to the Irish Masters main event

Irish Winter Festival Super Satellites:

• Freezeout satellite every Sunday at 10pm
• Buy-in is $200 + $15
• Minimum number of players is 20

• Rebuy satellite every Tuesday at 9pm
• Buy-in is $50 + $5
• Minimum number of players is 30 

Players who want the option to win an Irish Masters €1,500 + €150 ticket without the full Irish Winter Festival package can do so on Thursday evenings.

• Freezeout satellite every Thursday at 8pm
• Buy-in is $200 + $15
• Minimum number of players is 10
• One ticket will be awarded for every $2,300 in the prizepool

Sole Survivor

This is where Paddy Power excel.  They give a player from their site who is playing in the IWF the chance to win an extra 20 000 Euros simply by being the last of their online qualifying players in the Masters tournament.  Half of this money will go to you and half will cover your future buyins at other Poker Events.
