Chris Mason was cool under pressure at Dusk Till Dawn last weekend in the APAT World Amateur Poker Championship.  Mason was crowned World Amateur Poker Champion after clearing away a field of 157 players.  The action came down to Mason vs Jamie Reeve in the heads up battle.  Reeve on paper was the slightly stronger player.  Both players are on the periphery of becoming big poker players.  On this occassion Mason made the right call forcing Reeve all in with his A7.  Reeve had A2.  8 8 7 came on the Flop followed by 10, 4 which was just what Mason needed to walk away with £7000, his biggest career win to date.  Reeve took home £5000, to our knowledge another career best.

Mason now has his seat booked in the GUKPT Grand Final Main Event, all eyes here at Poker Shark will be on seeing if Mason's form continues.
