Betfair have begun mixing the beautiful game with Kenny Rogers favourite past time.  Not an obvious mix of sports but bear with us and we will try and explain how this works.  Betfair have two football and poker related promotions.  The first is called 1 x 2 Footie Special

Here's how it works:

On selected days we will pick a televised football match as our featured game for the 1-X-2 Footie Special. All you need to do is join the tournament which you think the result of the match will be. For example:

Man UTD Vs AC Milan

[1] If you think Man UTDwill win the game, join the 1-X-2 Man UTD tournament
[X] If you think it will be a Draw, join the 1-X-2 The Draw tournament
[2] If you think Chlesea will win the game, join the 1-X-2 AC Milan tournament

At the end of the match, $1,000 will be added to overall prize pool of the tournament that corresponds to the correct result e.g. If Man UTD win the match then $1,000 would be added to the overall prize pool in 1-X-2 Man UTD tournament.


You can only join one 1-X-2 tournament, so be sure to study the form and choose wisely if you want to be in with a shout of scoring your share of the $1,000 in ADDED cash!

Arsenal Vs FC Porto - Tuesday 9th March

Man UTD Vs AC Milan - Wednesday 10th March

 Also Betfair are giving players a chance to go and watch Barcelona play Athletico Bilbao.  All you have to do is make sure you have a Betfair Poker Account (Get one here if you don't)  Go to the tournament lobby and register for this tournament, The Barcalona Experience, by 1945 on the 11th March.  The tournament starts at 2000.
