Cake Poker Review

Cake Poker Review – If this poker room was a toilet tissue it would definitely be double quilted!!

Cake Poker is a poker room, thought, designed and made by poker players for poker players. Growing in reputation, Cake Poker offers a decent range of poker tournaments and while not as big as some of its rivals, it’s a decent place to learn and develop your poker skills, we improved ours whilst writing the Cake Poker review.

The Cake Poker review was interesting to do as it was started by a group of Poker players in 2004 based in the Netherlands Antilles. They have built a sound platform for playing poker which is steadily increasing in popularity.

Software and Playability:

Of our featured Poker rooms that we have reviewed, Cake Poker has the lowest volume of traffic but this is certainly not something to complain about. The actual Cake software is very user friendly and the Lobby is simple and easy to use. Developed by Cake Poker, they are in charge of their own progression, and our cake poker review found that the site is improving constantly.

Playing in one of the Cake poker rooms, you have a classic poker feel which is all you need. Player chat and info are available and the simplistic features allow speed, fluidity to be top draw. An excellent playing platform on a growing poker network. They have developed the software to allow up to 10,000 players in one tournament which shows some serious ambition. Well worth a visit.

Games and People:

In this cake poker review we would like to point out its not necessarily a negative that the traffic volumes at Cake Poker are smaller than some of its well established rivals. Poker Shark is about community and you definitely get that feeling at Cake with numbers around 3,500 at peak time. This is a poker community that is on the up and by accepting players from the US it is one to watch in the future.

They offer a smaller range of games but the key ones are all there and for any beginner to poker, you probably won’t want to stray to far from the classic Texas hold’em anyway. Cake is a good environment to get in shape and develop your game.

Tournaments and Promotions:

Cake Poker have a unique promotion to their armoury. Cake Gold Cards are available to those that play in the ring games. When a certain level of rake is achieved on your table, a gold card is released. If it matches one of your hole cards, you can then put that Gold in your “vault”.  whilst compiling our Cake poker review we found the more you play the more you can collect and there are plenty of prizes and tournaments that only Gold Card holders can enter. Its a nice extra touch and adds to the community feel, whats more collect all 52 gold cards and they give you $52k which can’t be bad!!

If its tournaments your after, Cake poker have $4.5 million in guaranteed prizes each month. For one of the smaller poker rooms, this is a very decent prize pool and there is plenty of opportunity with Daily tournaments ranging from $15,000 to $50,000. They also offer plenty of free roll options to take you into the big money!!

Customer Service and Security:

This rooms Poker Shark trust rank is

Cake poker use a series of algorithms to detect collusion between players and will take prompt action against those caught. For all your information, they use a 256-bit TwoFish encryption which is a trusted algorthym popular with many top poker rooms.

Whilst doing the Cake Poker review we noticed they allow you to change your username every 7 days. While this may seem strange, there is reason behind it. There is the technology out there that allows players to track your playing history and share it with others giving them an unfair advantage at the table. By changing your username this is prevented.
With regard to customer service, you will have no issues here. They are dedicated poker professionals seeking to expand in a competitive market. They pride themselves on their support and detailed answers to your questions are always given. An instant message service would be beneficial.

Depositing and Withdrawing:

During the Cake poker review there were no hassles with withdrawing or depositing. Although they don’t have the widest selection, all your main options are here: Credit Card, Moneybookers, NETeller, PaySafeCard, Ukash, Bank Transfer, EcoCard, ewalletXpress, UsemyBank.
